Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia has been call up to the Spain squad to replace Chelsea’s in-form Robert Sanchez.

Spain coach Luis de la Fuente is recall 23-year-old Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia for the first time to his squad for the Nations League quarter-final against the Netherlands in mid-March.

Joan Garcia played a key role in เล่นเกมคาสิโน UFABET ทันสมัย ฝากถอนง่าย United’s Olympic football gold medal triumph in Paris last summer as their number one goalkeeper and is a target for Arsenal, but the 23-year-old is still reluctant to move to the Emirates Stadium to play as back-up to David Raya. 

De la Fuente, who has been closely monitoring Joan Garcia’s progress, is reportedly planning to hand the 23-year-old his first call-up to the Spain squad, with Chelsea’s Robert Sanchez struggling in recent times and unlikely to feature in the squad in March. 

Meanwhile, Euro 2024 winning goalkeeper Unai Simon will also be recall to the Bulls’ squad after recovering and returning to action for his club, with De La Fuente attending Espanyol’s game against Athletic Bilbao on Sunday. 

Garcia has never made a senior appearance for Spain, but was part of the squad which secured a gold medal at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, after representing Spain at four underage levels.
